About AICLST conference
Once in 2 years the Asia International Conference of Leather Science and
Technology (AICLST) has been oganized with participation mainly from Japan,
South Korea, and China. The first conference was held at Chengdu, China in 1992
with the rapid percolation of leather industry from developed country to
developing country, the expansion of this program was felt during IULTCS congress
for wider transmission. ILTA showed interest to conduct this program in Inida as a
part of its diamond jubilee celebrations (DJC) in November 2010. Quite justifiably
CLRI, a national laboratory, has been requested for joint presentation with ILTA. The
Council for Leather Exports (CLE) has consented to be associated with this
conference. As has been the tradition and objective of ILTA, the theme for this
congress would be
LEATHER 2020: CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES
