Launched in January 1994, as a window to INTERNATIONAL FASHION, CLRI India Design Club Membership, enables Tanners, Footwear and Footwear Component, Accessories & Leather Garment manufacturers to gain access to the vast international information base on ‘Fashion and Trends’ in Leathers & Materials, Colours and Textures, Shoe Design & Retail, Shoe Component , Accessories & Leather Garments.

Image India is an effort to showcase the ‘Best of India’ at International Fairs and Exhibitions through a Trend pavilion; showcasing Leather & Leather Product Designs in International fairs and exhibitions. CLRI foresaw a new horizon to exhibit Indian strength/capabilities in this arena and synergized this activity in partnership with the Indian Leather Sector.

How CLRI initiatives have benefitted the industry?

Involved Tanners in the process of Fashion Forecasting and being able present leather/colour proposals, ahead of the season.

GLOBAL COLOUR SHADE CARD is first released in India giving a tremendous lead time over the competition.

The Scientific Analysis of the market trends has helped the shoe manufacturers to understand the Trends in Retail and gear up with apt products for exposition at leading International Fairs such as Garda, WSA, MICAM and the GDS.

The MODEUROP initiative has been very successful in catapulting India into the foreyards of fashion. We dictate the world’s fashion colours today.

Customized COLOUR CARDS for leading exporters conceptualized, designed and brought out by CLRI have helped the world recognize India’s capabilities of being abreast of fashion and delivering quality leathers and products.

Outreach TREND seminars to disseminate the design intelligence; FOOT PRINTS: Shoe and Shoe Component Trends; Children’s Shoe Trends; REVISIT: a series of Retail Photopacks; ADVANTAGE 24; Leather & Material Trends; the BAG PICTURE: Shoe Accessory Trend reports published by CLRI help the industry gain access to “input information” for their collections 18 to 24 months ahead of the season in address, which is a tremendous ‘Business Advantage’.
