Area of Research Interest

  Development of natural and chemically modified polymer and polymer composites (gel/nano particles) and its applications in leather processing, biotechnology and wastewater treatment.

  Development of value added products from the industrial and agricultural wastes.

  • NMR (1D & 2D), GC-MS, HPLC, DLS, DSC,TGA, XRD, CD, UV-Vis, AAS, ICP-MS, FTIR, SEM, SEM-EDX, MASS-spectroscopy, XPS, TEM,  EPR, Column chromatography, Air and moisture sensitive organic and organometallic reactions, Microbial culture techniques, Physical and chemical testings of leather /leather goods and tannery wastes.

  • Our group is interested in multidisciplinary research.  Fresh candidates having basic back ground of Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Environmental science who are interested to work in the area of Synthetic chemistry, bio-material chemistry and environmental biotechnology requested to email their CV for PhD program Opportunities for students of MSc/ Mtech/ Btech (limited no.s) for their project work are also available.
