Development of methodologies and physico-chemical techniques for the characterization of micellar and reverse micellar systems involving collagen, peptides, drugs, synthetic and vegetable tanning materials and polymeric surfactants. Demonstrated self-assembly processes and formation of liquid crystalline phases in a number of micellar systems. The establishment of Huggins-Thomas-Mandal equation by the inclusion of a modified parameter based on both experimental and theoretical investigations. Contribution on micellar systems with respect to electrochemistry, thermodynamics, relaxation kinetics, molecular dynamics, location, solubilization, salvation behavior, monolayer aspects, nanomaterials and diffusional phenomenon are extensive.

• Published more than 90 research papers in national and international journals of most repute and delivered more than 100 invited lectures in India and abroad and also chaired many scientific sessions for national and international symposia including American Chemical Society, American Institute of Chemical Engineers, Fine Particle Society, Colloid and Surface Sciences.
• Served as a Doctoral Committee member for Anna University , Madras University , IIT, Jadavpur University , Calcutta and IISc, Bangalore and also examined many Ph.D theses and conducted Ph.D Viva Voce exams for the same as one of the examiners including abroad Ph.D theses
