  • Received 1993 Rev.Fr.L.M.Yeddanapally Memorial Award by Indian Chemical Society for his outstanding contributions in the field of Physical Chemistry.
  • Received Tamil Nadu Scientist Award (TANSA) instituted by Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology for his outstanding work on Colloids and Surface Science in Chemical Sciences in 1995.
  • Received " Dr.B.C.Deb Memorial Award " by Indian Science Congress Association for his outstanding contributions in Soil/ Physical Chemistry in 1995-96.
  • Obtained Senior DAAD visiting Prof./Scientist Fellowship during 1997-98 to work in Germany .
