Academic Honours A. Awards and Honours

Government of India scholarship awarded from Higher Secondary onwards. Various prizes awarded for obtaining first rank in schools and colleges. Individual CSIR Fellowship awarded in Ph. D program on merit basis. National merit scholarship awarded for 4th Rank in B.Sc. Chemistry Honours in the University and also Scholarship awarded for 10th rank in the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (in Technical group). Had been elected as a Fellow of the Indian Academy of Sciences and Royal Society of Chemistry, London. Received TamilNadu Science and Technology Award. Currently a life member of Chemical Research Society of India and Forum for Science Technology and Society, CSIR, New Delhi. Also a Fellow member of the Society of Biological Chemists (India). A life member of the Society for Surface Science and Technology. Elected Fellow of the Indian Chemical Society in 1990. Awarded Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada Fellowship during post-doctoral research. Received 1993 "Yeddanapally Memorial Award by Indian Chemical Society and "Dr.B.C.Deb Memorial Award" by Indian Science Congress Association for outstanding contributions in Physical Chemistry. Obtain Sr. DAAD visiting Prof./Scientist fellowship 1997-98 to work and deliver lectures in Germany.
