To meet the demand of the Indian Shoe Industry for creative design and fashion, innovation and quality, an R&D group is working under the Shoe Design and Development Centre (SDDC) of CLRI.
The
Fashion Studio of SDDC is on par with studios operating in Italy, France,
UK and other European Contries to forecast and evolve new fashions in
leather products. The designers have extensive knowledge of international
fashion trends, colour forecasts, material and component status and new
innovations in Fabrication Technology. Today these designers have a strong
footage in MODEUROP
Congress, an authority of European Fashion Business. A number of Indian
Colours were included in European Fashion Colour Cards (both footwear
and Garment) in successive seasons

Resource room for shoe components, accessories, fashion leathers, dressing aids, etc. Component Manufacturers can display their products in show windows

- Conceptual Shoe Design Studio for sketching colour and texture incorporation and editing
