Expected Outcome of CLRI-C

The conference would have a brainstorming session at the end of the sessions on 29th and 30th, through which, the translation of R&D efforts in research institutes to industrial practices and development of research goals for the 12th five year plan would be taken up. Through this effort, CLRI proposes to direct a significant portion of the research carried out inhouse as well as research on chemicals being undertaken elsewhere in the country towards that which is of immediate need to the industry. Open ended research, which would address to the long term concerns of the industry such as availability of raw material in a sustainable manner, green chemistry initiatives such as atom economy etc would also be identified as a part of this conference.

Conference would also bring in a large number of students who pursue their masters in chemistry. These students would be able to understand how closely the research, academy and industry can come together to identify specific issues which a science backed technology program can solve. The organizers of LERIG 2011, through this, hope to attract a large number of young students to challenging industrial research.
