                 Nayudamma Lecture-2012

Prof Dr Y Nayudamma was a visionary whose impact on the nation, in the realm of science and
technology was paramount. He was responsible for building the international image of CLRI and for
establishing close ties with the Indian leather industry.
He served as the Director General of CSIR, New Delhi and also as the Vice-Chancellor of the prestigious
Jawaharlal Nehru University.
Nayudamma Memorial lecture is held annually to commemorate the ideals and values espoused by
Dr Y Nayudamma
