Preamble
CSIR proposed “Harnessing Appropriate Rural Interventions and Technologies” (CSIR-HARIT) Programme to focus on enhancing income generation and improvement in quality of lives of rural communities, thus catalyzing and bringing socio-economic development through CSIR interventions/ technologies.
The programme was inaugurated on 16th July 2019 by Shri.Karam Shyam, Hon’ble Minister, Revenue, CAF&PD, Manipur.
Around 50 trainees enrolled for the training programme. Except 10 trainees who possessed skill in product making, all the others were fresher’s. The four-day training programme was intended to give awareness in product making and introduction to design of combination products. Details about the scheduled 4 weeks training programme was explained to the trainees.
2) National Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation (NSFDC) Programme & Self-help group (SHG) programme
SPDC technical personnel’s visited the training centers’ across Tamilnadu and Andhra Pradesh under NSFDC and SHG programs. The main purpose of the visits undertaken was to assess the skills capabilities of the candidates’ undergone diversified modules of footwear, leather goods and leather garments during the year 2019-20. The qualified candidates were recommended for the award of technical certificates for employability and entrepreneurship opportunities.
